I’m so glad you liked them – thanks so much for the kind comment! 🙂 And good idea on using 2 forks!

They were easy to make and really delicious. I actually never cared for mint&chocolate, I made these for my fiance, but they were pretty good to me even. The only thing I would change is using 2 forks instead of 1. When I balanced it on one fork it folded over and kind of fell apart. Coming at it with 2 forks kept the shape better. I also used semi sweet instead of bittersweet. Thank you SO much! You have made this a wonderful new holiday tradition.

Thanks for the comment lauren! I agree, they are a little difficult to dip – remember I only take pictures of the pretty ones. 😉 Sounds like a fun experience, and I’m glad you liked them! 🙂

My initial thought was that it wouldn’t work as well since the butter would get soft quicker than the shortening and have a different texture. But if you can use butter and shortening interchangeably in pie dough, I don’t see why you can’t here. If you try it, let me know how it turns out!

Have you tried substituting butter instead? Do you think it would work? Thanks, Michelle
