Each week I get together with a group of friends to watch football. Each week we have a different “theme” for the food. This past week was Oktoberfest so naturally I wanted to make apple strudel. I searched high and low for a simple recipe and found you! Although ours didn’t turn out nearly as beautiful as yours, it was still very delicious! And it was pretty simple to make (just make sure your pastry sheets are completely thawed… we learned that the hard way!). Thanks for the recipe. You can check out our Oktoberfest here:

I have made this multiple times since you posted it – made 2 of them yesterday and love it plain for breakfast or with vanilla bean ice-cream for dessert. My neighbor was very impressed how nice it looked when we took it over with for a belated holiday treat! I also tried increasing the cinnamon and like the extra flavor. Many thanks for sharing this one 😉
