My powder sugar always sinks in to the cookie.

I totally had this issue with a different chocolate crinkles recipe I tried for the first time. It seems to have helped!

I’m glad you liked them, but I’m sorry they weren’t as chewy as you hoped! It’s hard to know why exactly. Your oven might be slightly different than mine temperature-wise, or your cookies may have been smaller, etc, which would mean you need less bake time. Mine were just barely set when I took them out, if that helps. Glad you found a use for them anyway! 🙂

Unfortunately they were not chewy as I expected. I’m not sure if I should have shortened the bake time, but I followed the recipe exactly. We will be using them for ice cream sandwiches so they won’t go to waste 😉

Don’t roll them in it until ready to bake but it’s never been an issue. Thanks for the tip about how to keep them chewy!!!

I feel like no holiday season is complete without them, so I must bake them when I’m at home in a couple weeks. Megan, I LOVE the addition of peppermint extract. I’ve seen that a few times on the internet recently and now I must try it with my next batch. Perfection!
