These are popular in Virginia for celebrations. My mouth is watering thinking about them. I guess I never thought to make them just for us, but why not? Let’s live a little!!

In reply to Ashley. Yes, I think they would turn out great. :) And this recipe makes a ton, maybe 7-8 dozen mints? I didn't count, unfortunately, but I found a similar recipe that estimated around 8 dozen.

Oh! And also, if I didn’t add the food coloring, would they turn out white? Or cream colored? Sorry to post twice. I just don’t cook much and I’d like them to turn out right the first time…

I would love to make these for Christmas presents only I’m not a fan of peppermint. Do you think mint would be just as good if I added green food coloring instead of red? And did I miss how many mints this recipe yields? Thanks for sharing! You’re a genius!

Cream cheese mints are a celebration staple in Nebraska. We have them at weddings, graduations, baptisms, etc. Love those things!! I never knew until recently that it was a Nebraska thing. Was wondering why several out of state weddings didn’t have these things! Glad you tried them!
