DoubleTree Hotel Chocolate Chip Cookies
These soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies are a copycat version of the famous DoubleTree Hotel cookies!
How good do these cookies look?? If you’ve ever stayed in a DoubleTree hotel, you already know how good these cookies taste. 🙂 In my first job out of college I had to take plenty of business trips around the country. I can remember staying in DoubleTree hotels and looking forward to their famous (and delicious) chocolate chip cookies.
I had forgotten about them until I saw this copycat recipe show up on Pinterest. After seeing the pictures, and remembering how good the cookies were, I knew I had to try to recreate them!
These cookies are soft, chock full of chocolate chips, and completely chewy and delicious. I couldn’t get enough of them! I shared them with friends and everyone loved them.
It’s been years since I stayed in a DoubleTree hotel, so I can’t say for sure how close these are to the original, but I can promise you that they taste amazing. And really, what more can you ask for from a chocolate chip cookie? 🙂
DoubleTree Hotel Chocolate Chip Cookies
These soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies are a copycat version of the famous DoubleTree Hotel cookies!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup unsalted butter (two sticks), softened
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 cups semi-sweet mini chocolate chips
Directions:
- Pulse oats in a food processor until semi-fine or fine. Set aside.
- Place butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and lemon juice to a large mixing bowl and cream together using an electric mixer. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the oats, flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix with a spatula, being careful not to overmix. Mix in the chocolate chipsuntil evenly distributed, being careful not to overmix. Using a medium or large cookie scoop, scoop cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet. Freeze or refrigerate the cookie dough for at least 2 to 4 hours or up to overnight.
- When ready to bake, place cookie dough about 2 inches apart onto baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350 degrees F for 14-16 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
