Orange Creamsicle Fruit Dip
Memorial Day is coming up and I’ve got just the recipe for all those family get togethers. This orange creamsicle fruit dip is light and sweet and actually tastes a lot like an Orange Julius! I can’t be the only one who loves those orange frothy drinks. ๐ย Well now you can have the taste of an Orange Julius, but healthier. Because you’re dipping fruit in it.
I made this for Mother’s Day, along with the Fontina and Herb Flatbread and it went over very well. Fruit dips are always popular in my family, but this one was a little different than the kind we usually have. It’s light and fluffy and has a great creamsicle flavor. Mike loves orange flavored anything and he was a big fan of this dip. This would be perfect for a Memorial Day get together, and best of all, it takes less than five minutes to make. Yum!

what a fun and unique recipe — bet it is great with fresh fruits!
Even the thought of Orange Julius brings back great high school memories. This dip looks delicious.
Hmmm – this looks perfect for summer! Is it bad that I want some right now for breakfast? haha
Wow such an easy recipe and perfect for a BBQ!
This looks amazing! I am going to try this out for our cookout on Monday ๐
You're not the only one that loves orange julius. Those things are great, and the dip sounds great with those flavors!
I love a simple but yummy fruit dip-this one sounds great! Love orange julius:)
Oh yum!! What a great summer treat! I'm looking forward to checking out more of your recipes!
Thanks for this recipe! I'm bringing this Tuesday to a shower at school. Timing is perfect!
Do you defrost the orange juice prior to mixing the ingredients? This looks wonderful!
My goodness does this look wonderful! What a great fruit dip!
Oh wow you just brought back some childhood memories. I haven't had an Orange Julius in years! Are they still around?
Kee – Yes, defrost the orange juice. Hope you like it!
I love the sound of this dish!
This sounds incredible. I love delicious fruit dips. I just bought a whole bunch of fruit at the store and I would love to try this – it looks so creamy.
I made this today. It is so refreshing. I can't wait for the teachers to try it tomorrow. Tastes great with strawberries. Thank you!
Looks delicious and refreshing!
What a fun idea! My kids already love the taste of fruit, but I know they would really enjoy eating it with this dip.
Megan, this dip looks awesome – especially with that pudding inside. Great idea for entertaining!
That is the easiest, and probably the most delicious dip I have ever seen! I Love this!
Can you replace the whipped topping with real whip cream? Or will real whip cream distroy the integrity of the dip ?
What a great idea!! Bookmarking to make this summer!! ๐
someonesmom – I'm not positive, but I'm guessing real whipped cream would be fine. I just don't think it would keep as well. If you try it, let me know how it turns out! ๐
Tried this for a party I threw yesterday! Big hit! Delicious!
Anonymous – So glad you liked this! Thanks for letting me know ๐
I figured out this recipe for those of us on Weight Watchers! Substituted Fat Free Frozen whipped topping and Sugar free, fat free vanilla instant pudding. Use the 6 oz of frozen OJ, thawed, and the points would be about 2 plus points. I figured about 10 servings at about 1/3 cup each. Pretty good!
great, thanks for the tips! ๐
Can you use regular orange juice instead of frozen?
I don’t think regular orange juice would work as well here, because the frozen version is concentrated.
Do you make the pudding or just add the powder?
Sorry for the slow reply. You just use the powder, don’t actually make the pudding. I hope you like it! ๐
Give us some ideas as to what to dip this with? Someone already said strawberries were delic with this…what else is particularily good? Hmmm?
I put small fruit chunks in the dip itself and served it with vanilla wafers. Everybody loved it and now every get together we are set to attend I get a phone call asking if I will make some!
Great idea on adding the chunks of fruit! Glad you liked it ๐
How long does it hold up? Does it go flat? Is it okay to keep it out for several hours at a party without refrigeration? thanks
